Trackdesk provides a set of automation scenarios that help you receive important notifications from your affiliate program directly in your Discord channels.
Using the Discord Popular Template, you can send notifications to Discord about new affiliates, affiliate status changes, commission tier changes, or new conversions.
You can also build your own custom automation workflows using Custom Automations, where many more triggers and actions are available.
This article explains how to access the Discord Popular Template, enable its scenarios, and customize them to fit your workflow.
Accessing the Discord Popular Template
To access the template:
Log in to your Trackdesk workspace.
In the main menu on the left, click Integrations.
The Popular Templates section loads automatically.
Scroll to the Messengers category.
Select the Discord ↔ Trackdesk template.
This template contains all Discord automation scenarios predefined by Trackdesk.
Available Scenarios
The Discord Popular Template includes multiple ready-to-use scenarios:
Send notification when affiliate changes tier
Sends a notification to your Discord channel when an affiliate in Trackdesk changes commission tiers.
Send notification when affiliate changes status
Sends a message to your Discord channel when an affiliate changes status in Trackdesk.
Send new affiliate registration notification
Sends a message to your Discord channel whenever a new affiliate registers on Trackdesk.
Send new conversion notification
Sends a message to your Discord channel when a new conversion occurs in Trackdesk.
Each scenario can be activated independently.
Connecting Discord
When installing your first Discord-related scenario, Trackdesk will prompt you to authorize your Discord account.
To connect Discord:
Click Install next to any Discord scenario.
Follow the instructions on the screen to authorize Trackdesk.
Choose the Discord server and channel you want to connect.
Confirm the connection.
Installing and Enabling a Scenario
To enable a scenario:
Open the Discord Popular Template.
Click Install on the scenario you want to activate.
Select your Discord server or channel if prompted.
Add required information into the builder if needed.
Toggle the scenario ON using the switch on the scenario row or click Start at the bottom.
Once enabled, Trackdesk will automatically send the corresponding notifications to your selected Discord channel.
Customizing Scenarios
Depending on the scenario, you can adjust:
Which events should trigger Discord notifications
Which Discord channel receives the messages
The message text and formatting
Additional filters or conditions
These options help you tailor the integration to your internal communication processes.
Troubleshooting
Notifications not appearing in Discord?
• Ensure the scenario toggle is ON.
• Confirm the selected Discord server and channel are accessible.
• Verify your Discord authorization is active.
Template not visible?
• Refresh the Integrations page. Popular Templates update automatically.
