The system timezone present in the system is selected by you during the registration for Trackdesk.
The system timezone is used for all newly registered users (be it other colleagues or affiliates).
This timezone predefines the user timezone which any user is able to change to their liking. For more information about the user timezone see the paragraph below.
How can I change the system timezone?
In order to change the system timezone, navigate to settings then to section General and go to the page labelled System Timezone. Select the new timezone and save the settings.
What happens to existing users when the timezone is changed?
When the system timezone is changed, nothing is changed for existing users. Users keep their current settings, be it the previous timezone or their custom timezone.
User timezone
Every user is able to change the timezone to their liking.
Where is the timezone used
A set timezone is used for all dates in the system, reports and tables.
Exceptions
The only exception is the date in the open balance menu, it is always in the system timezone. This is done in order for all settlements to use the same hour range.
How to change the user timezone
The user timezone is changed from the user menu at the top. Click the time that is present in the user menu, then use the cogwheel to get to the settings, and select a new timezone.
Keep in mind that if you change the user timezone, the current page is reloaded and records might move out of the current view, as they might be present on a different day in the newly selected timezone.
