The Affiliate Postback Tracking Log contains information about postbacks sent from Trackdesk to affiliate tracking platforms.
The log helps verify whether postbacks were sent correctly and assists with troubleshooting integration issues.
Information Available in the Log
Each log record contains the following information:
Field | Description |
Date | The time when the postback was triggered |
Status | Indicates whether the postback was successful, retrying, or failed |
Conversion ID | Identifier of the conversion |
Affiliate ID | Affiliate ID associated with the conversion |
Offer | Offer related to the conversion |
Conversion type | Type of conversion event |
Conversion status | Status of the conversion |
The status is the most important field because it indicates whether the postback was successfully delivered.
Viewing Postback Details
You can view detailed information about each postback request.
To open the details:
Navigate to the Affiliate Postback Tracking Log.
Click a row in the log table.
This opens a side modal containing detailed information about the postback.
The detail view includes information such as:
the time when the postback was created
the conversion status and type
the offer associated with the conversion
the affiliate ID
Attempts
The detail view also contains an Attempts section.
This section shows individual attempts to send the postback.
For each attempt, the following information is displayed:
Field | Description |
Created at | Time when the attempt was made |
Method | HTTP method used for the request |
URL | Full postback URL that was sent |
Status | HTTP response status code |
Response | Response returned by the receiving server |
Retry Behavior
If a postback request is rejected, Trackdesk automatically retries sending it.
A postback can be retried up to 7 times until it is either accepted or marked as failed.
Status of Sent Postbacks
The Status field indicates the overall result of the postback delivery.
Success Status
The Success status indicates that the postback was successfully accepted by the receiving server.
This may occur on the first attempt or after several retries.
Retrying Status
The Retrying status indicates that the previous attempt failed but the system has not yet exhausted all retry attempts.
Trackdesk will continue retrying until the request succeeds or the retry limit is reached.
Error Status
The Error status indicates that all retry attempts failed.
In this case, the postback was not accepted by the receiving server.
You should review the postback URL, parameters, and server response to identify the cause of the failure.
