Affiliate Tiers

Implement tiered commission structures to motivate affiliates and enhance earnings potential.

The tier structure is used for setting different payouts for affiliates depending on the performance of affiliates. Add multiple tiers with varying commission rates to motivate affiliates to perform better.

Tier parameters

The name of a tier

The name of a tier is used to identify the tier.

Commission rate

The commission rate is used to define payouts of conversion types when the offers are created. When a new offer is created, it is necessary to set up the "Revenue & payouts" section where you determine the conversion type, revenue, payout, and recurrence limit.

If a conversion type is set to a percentage value, then the commission rate is copied. In case the conversion type is set to a fixed value, then the commission rate is used to calculate a fixed value, and it is prefilled for payouts.

In the special case of a 'No revenue' conversion type, we are unable to fill a fixed value as we are unable to calculate a value from the revenue.

Editing tiers

In order to edit tiers, navigate to the Settings and go to the Affiliates section, and then select Tiers. Tiers can be added, edited, and in case a tier is not assigned to any affiliate, it can even be deleted. Both the name and commission rates are able to be edited.

Or you can navigate to Settings, and click on Tiers from the "Most visited settings."

Default tier

The standard tier is defined by us and is used as a default. This tier is assigned to all new affiliates and cannot be deleted.

Custom tiers

Custom tiers build the structure of tiers. They can be present on top of the standard tier and can be created by going to the settings in the Affiliates section, then to the Tiers page.

What happens on offers when I add a new tier

Newly added tiers are added into offers automatically.

  • Percentage payout: The tier uses the default rate defined in Settings.

  • Fixed payout: The tier initially uses the same amount as the Default tier (named Standard), but this value can be overridden.

If you go to your offer, you will be able to see all the tiers are in the offer automatically and override any value if needed.

Important

  • You can’t add a tier only inside one offer first; you must create it in Settings → Tiers.

  • If the tier doesn’t show up immediately, refresh the offer page.

Please Note

Changes made for the commission rates will only reflect in newly created offers as the commission rate is only used to fill in values when creating an offer.

How to change affiliate tier

To move affiliates between tiers, navigate to the Affiliate list from the main menu. Click on any affiliate whose tier you'd like to change and click the edit button.

In the edit mode, simply select the tier you'd like to move the given affiliate to.

If you want to make your life easier, you can set up affiliate tier automation. Read more about this feature in this article.
