Quality control

Manually validate incoming conversion quality by setting a percentage of conversions to fall in a specific status.

Written by Zuzana Toulcová

Quality Control lets you automatically route a selected percentage of incoming conversions into the Quality Control status for manual review.

You can configure this on three levels:

  • Global (tenant-wide default)

  • Advertiser (overrides global for that advertiser)

  • Offer (overrides advertiser/global for that offer)

Feature availability depends on your workspace plan and enabled features.

Feature update history

03/04/25

  • Added quality control to advertiser and offer level.

  • Added option to use only specific conversions types when evaluating quality control.

Setting up global level quality control

Global level quality control will count conversions on all offers in the system, unless overridden on advertiser and/or offer level.

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Tracking –> Quality control.

  2. Enable Quality control.

  3. Optionally select if you want to use only specific conversion types* for quality control.

  4. Set the percentage of conversions to be created in the quality control status

You can use up to two decimal points, the percentage is calculated as fraction:

  • 10% will mark every 10th conversion

  • 1% will mark every 100th conversion

  • 0,1% will mark every 1,000th conversion

  • 0,01% will mark every 10,000th conversion

*When selecting multiple conversion types, they add up into a single conversion pool for quality control. Individual quality control amount per conversion type is currently not supported.

Setting up advertiser level quality control

Tol find the Advertisers section:

  1. Open the left sidebar

  2. Expand Manage

  3. Click Advertisers

  4. Then choose List (or another advertiser submenu)

If you don’t see Advertisers, it’s because:

  • you’re not on a Network tenant, or

  • your account role/permissions don’t include advertiser access.

Advertiser level quality control will count conversions on all offers of the specific advertiser, unless overridden on offer level.

  1. Navigate to Advertiser list -> Advertiser detail –> Quality control.

  2. Enable the Quality control.

  3. Optionally select if you want to use only specific conversion types for quality control.

  4. Set the percentage of conversions to be created in the quality control status

Setting up offer level quality control

Offer level quality control will count conversions on a specific offer.

  1. Navigate to Offer list -> Offer detail –> Quality control.

  2. Enable the quality control setting switch

  3. Optionally select if you want to use only specific conversion types for quality control.

  4. Set the percentage of conversions to be created in the quality control status.

When using advertiser or offer level quality control, the conversions are counted only on the set levels and are not counted to the entity above them (e.g. global).

Quality Control is applied with this precedence:

  1. Offer-level setting (highest priority)

  2. Advertiser-level setting

  3. Global setting (fallback)

A conversion is counted only in the level whose rule was applied.

Quality control impact

All conversions created in Quality Control status:

  • are marked with the Quality Control conversion status

  • require manual status update to move forward (for example, to Approved/Rejected based on your workflow)

  • are not visible to affiliates

  • do not trigger affiliate postbacks
