Understanding Affiliate Status and Affiliate Traffic

Written by Zuzana Toulcová

Each affiliate account contains key settings that control both access to the platform and ability to generate tracking data.

These include:

  • Affiliate status (account access)

  • Traffic status (tracking activity)

Both can be managed by admin users in the affiliate detail.

Affiliate statuses (account access)

Affiliate status determines whether the affiliate can access their account.

Enabled

  • Affiliate has full access to the platform

  • Can log in and view performance statistics

  • Receives a welcome email when activated

Pending

  • Awaiting approval or manually set to pending

  • Cannot log in

  • No data is tracked or visible

Disabled

  • Cannot access the platform

  • No performance data is available

Traffic statuses (tracking activity)

Traffic status controls whether clicks and conversions are recorded.

Enabled

  • Clicks and conversions are tracked normally

  • Affiliate traffic is recorded and reported

Disabled

  • Clicks and conversions are not recorded

  • Affiliate links will not generate tracking data

💡 Key difference

  • Affiliate status → controls access to the platform

  • Traffic status → controls whether tracking works

These settings can be used independently, giving you full control over both access and activity.

💡 Example use cases

  1. End of cooperation
Keep the affiliate Enabled, but set traffic to Disabled.
→ The affiliate can still log in, view historical performance, and download invoices, but cannot generate new traffic.

  2. New affiliate approval process
Set affiliate to Pending until reviewed and approved.

  3. Full deactivation
Set affiliate to Disabled to completely revoke access.
