Tracking Authorization

Control incoming traffic and generating conversions.

Written by Zuzana Toulcová

Use these settings to control access to creating and editing conversions, adding a layer of security and control to your affiliate program.

⚠️ Pay extra caution when setting up the feature to avoid unwanted traffic loss.

To set global settings, head over to Settings –> Tracking –> Authorization

Disabling tracking scripts

Use this setting if you want to completely disable all conversion scripts within your system. When tracking scripts are disabled, conversions can only be created via API.

Allow editing of conversions via API

You can allow conversions to be edited via the API. Note that enabling this setting allows anyone with access to the CID (or External CID) and revenue origin ID to edit any conversion in the system. Conversions edited this way are uniquely marked in the activity logs.

IP whitelisting

IP whitelists can be set on three levels:

  • Global

  • Advertiser (Network users only)

  • Offer

Whitelists are complementary: the global whitelist always applies to all traffic across the system, and the advertiser-level and offer-level whitelists add to it - allowing additional traffic on a specific offer, or on all offers belonging to the selected advertiser.

IP whitelisting does not differentiate between integration methods - it applies to traffic from both tracking scripts and the API.

Setting up IP whitelists

To add an IP address to the whitelist, type it into the text box. To add multiple addresses, press Enter and add each address on its own line.

To whitelist addresses for a specific offer, open the offer detail and go to its Authorization page under the Settings tab, where you'll find the IP whitelist box. The same complementary logic as the global setting applies.

Advertiser level whitelists

Advertiser-level whitelists are available only to users with Network features. Open the advertiser detail to bring up the side panel, then click the Authorization accordion.

This uses the same logic as the global and offer-level settings - type the whitelisted addresses into the text box, one per line.
