Update Stripe API Version

Written by David Rolenc
Updated this week

If your Stripe integration is set up correctly but conversions are not being tracked in Trackdesk, your Stripe account may be using an outdated API version.

Updating the API version can resolve compatibility issues with the Trackdesk Stripe integration.

⚠️ Before you update

If you are using the Stripe API in your own systems, consult your development team before upgrading.

Updating the API version may affect custom implementations.

How to update Stripe API version

1. Go to Developers β†’ Overview

Click Developers in the bottom-left corner and open the Overview option.

2. Locate API versions section

Scroll down to the API versions section.

If a newer version is available, you will see an Upgrade button.

3. Confirm the upgrade

Click Upgrade, then confirm the action in the modal.

What to expect

  • The upgrade is applied immediately

  • Stripe allows rollback within a limited time (typically 72 hours)

  • If no Upgrade button is visible, your API version is already up to date

πŸ’‘ Troubleshooting

If conversions are still not being tracked after updating the API version:

  • Double-check your Stripe integration setup in Trackdesk

  • Verify webhook configuration and event delivery

  • Ensure your account is not in test mode (if expecting live data)
