Every report in Trackdesk lets each user hide the columns they don't need and drag the rest into the order they prefer. With Default report columns you decide what that starting point looks like before they touch it — which columns a report opens with and in what order — with optional overrides for individual roles.
This article covers where the setting lives, how to build a column layout for a report, how per-role overrides work, and how your default interacts with the customizations your users make on their own.
Where to find the setting
Navigate to Settings → General → Dashboard and reports. The Default report columns panel lists every report you can configure, each with an Edit columns button.
The panel is visible only to roles that have permission to manage default report columns.
Reports you can configure
Six reports have configurable default columns. The names in the settings panel don't always match the menu, so here is where each one lives:
Click report — per-click tracking detail, fraud signals, and sub-IDs. Found under Reports → Clicks.
Conversion report — conversions with financials, settlement, and custom slots. Found under Reports → Conversions.
Daily overview — aggregated daily metrics and KPIs. Found under Reports → Daily report.
MLM commissions — multi-level commission rows per parent affiliate. Found under Reports → MLM commissions.
Report builder — custom grouped report with metrics and drilldowns. Found under Reports → Report builder.
For users on any of the iGaming plans, additional report can be configured:
Player report — tracked players, registration, status, and metadata. Found under Players → Player list.
Each report is configured separately. A report you never open keeps Trackdesk's built-in column selection.
Setting the default columns
Navigate to Settings → General → Dashboard and reports.
Find the report you want to configure and click Edit columns.
A wide side panel opens, headed with the report name, on the Default (all roles) tab.
Use the switch next to a column to move it between Shown and Hidden.
Drag a column by its handle to change where it sits in the report.
Click Save columns.
The editor gives you two lists and a few shortcuts:
Shown — the columns the report opens with, in the order they appear. This is the only list you can drag; the order of hidden columns doesn't matter.
Hidden — columns that are available in the report but switched off by default. Your users can still switch them back on for themselves.
Hide all and Show all — move an entire list at once, then switch back the handful you actually want.
Search fields — filters both lists by column name. Dragging is disabled while a search is active, so clear the search box before you reorder.
The list covers every column the report offers on your plan. Columns that belong to a feature you don't have active — Anura scoring or custom revenue origins, for example — don't appear at all.
For users on any of the iGaming plans:
Your player metrics show up alongside the built-in columns on the Player report, Daily overview, and Report builder, and your custom report columns show up on Daily overview and Report builder.
On the Daily overview, the Date column always stays first regardless of the order you save.
Overriding the columns for a role
The Default (all roles) tab applies to every role that doesn't have an override of its own. When one role needs a different set — affiliates seeing fewer financial columns than your managers, for instance — add an override for it.
In the column editor, click the + tab and pick a role from the list.
A new tab appears for that role, pre-filled with whatever is currently on the Default (all roles) tab.
Adjust the shown, hidden, and ordered columns for that role.
Click Save columns.
Roles you have already added disappear from the + list, so each role can hold at most one override. To drop an override, select its tab, open the ⋮ menu next to the tab name and click Remove override. The role goes back to following the default tab as soon as you click Save columns.
Overrides are stored per report, so a role can have its own conversion report columns while still following your default on every other report.
Warnings on a column
Some columns can't reach every role, and the editor flags them with a warning icon next to the column name. Hover over it to see which roles are affected:
Not visible (orange icon) — the column is never rendered for the listed roles. Switching it on for one of those roles has no effect; their report skips it.
May be hidden (grey icon) — the column depends on the listed roles' data-visibility settings, so some of those users will see it and others won't.
These warnings are informational — they never block you from saving.
How your default reaches your users
Your default is the starting point, and each user's own choices sit on top of it:
Users who have never edited that report's columns see your layout exactly as you saved it — same columns, same order.
Users who have already customized keep their own column order and the visibility choices they made. Columns they never touched still follow your default, so a column you hide later still reaches them.
Column choices are stored per device, so the same user can be following your default in one browser and their own layout in another.
Users pick up your changes the next time they load Trackdesk. Any user can come back to your layout from the report itself: click Edit columns and then Reset, which clears their personal column selection and order and restores the default saved for their role.
Resetting a report to Trackdesk's built-in columns
Open the column editor for the report, stay on the Default (all roles) tab and click Reset to product default in the bottom-left corner. The two lists are rebuilt from Trackdesk's built-in selection for that report.
The reset only refills the editor — nothing changes for your users until you click Save columns. It also leaves any role overrides in place, so remove those separately if you want the report back to a clean slate.
For the per-user side of this — how your team hides and reorders columns on their own reports — see Hide and Reorder Report Columns. To set a starting point for the dashboard as well, see Default Dashboard Layout.
