The Anura Integration is a powerful fraud protection feature in Trackdesk designed to help you detect and prevent fraudulent clicks, safeguard your campaigns, and ensure the highest quality of traffic.
⚠️ Note: This feature is available exclusively on the Enterprise plan and higher.
1. Setting Up Anura Integration
To set up the Anura integration in your workspace, follow these steps:
Navigate to Settings > Anura.
Enter your Instance ID - This is a unique identifier for your Anura account, which you can find in the Anura Instances page of your Anura dashboard.
Click Save Instance ID.
Once your Instance ID is saved, you can enable or disable the global Anura fraud protection.
2. How Anura Integration Works
When enabled, the Anura Integration runs seamlessly in the background to analyze incoming clicks to your landing pages. It adapts its methodology based on your tracking setup:
Redirect Tracking: Utilizes Anura Direct to evaluate clicks based on the IP address, user agent, and other metadata at the time of the click.
Direct Tracking: Utilizes Anura Script, a JavaScript-based approach, to evaluate clicks directly on your landing pages.
Understanding Anura Scores
Each click is evaluated and assigned a score, which you can view in the Anura Score column of your Click Report. These scores help you make data-driven decisions about your traffic sources and campaign optimizations:
Good - The click appears to be legitimate.
Warning - The click exhibits characteristics that might indicate fraud.
Bad - The click is likely to be fraudulent.
3. Global vs. Offer-Specific Settings
Anura Integration provides flexibility in how you apply fraud protection across your campaigns:
Global Setting: Toggle the "Enable global Anura fraud protection" switch to automatically apply fraud detection to all of your offers.
Offer-Specific Settings: You can override the global setting for individual offers by configuring Anura directly within the specific offer's details.
When you enable or disable Anura for specific offers, these offers will appear in the "Offers with overridden settings" list on the Anura settings page.
4. Limitations and Considerations
This integration requires an active Anura account and a valid Instance ID.
For redirect tracking, Anura evaluates clicks based strictly on the data available at the exact time of the click.
For direct tracking, the evaluation happens directly on your landing page, which may add a small amount of processing time.
5. Best Practices
Start Broad, Refine Later: Begin by enabling Anura globally, then selectively override settings for specific offers where you require different tracking behaviors.
Monitor Regularly: Consistently review the fraud scores in your Click Report to identify and isolate problematic traffic sources early.
Cross-Reference Metrics: Use the fraud score information alongside your standard performance metrics when evaluating overall affiliate quality.
Audit High-Risk Conversions: Pay close attention to the Anura score when reviewing conversions, particularly for offers that carry a higher inherent risk of fraud.
By properly configuring and utilizing the Anura Integration, you can significantly improve the quality of your traffic and actively protect your campaigns from fraudulent activity.
