Anura Integration is a powerful fraud protection feature in Trackdesk that helps you detect and prevent fraudulent clicks, protecting your campaigns and ensuring the quality of your traffic.

This feature is available only on Enterprise plan and higher.

Setting Up Anura Integration

To set up Anura Integration:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Anura

  2. Enter your Instance ID - This is a unique identifier for your Anura account, which you can find in the Anura Instances page of your Anura dashboard

  3. Click Save Instance ID

  4. Once your Instance ID is saved, you can enable or disable the global Anura fraud protection

How Anura Integration Works

When enabled, Anura Integration works seamlessly in the background to analyze clicks coming to your landing pages:

  • For redirect tracking, Anura Direct is used to evaluate clicks using IP address, user agent, and other data.

  • For direct tracking, Anura Script is used for a JavaScript-based approach to evaluate clicks directly on your landing pages.

Each click is assigned a score in the Anura score column of the Click report based on Anura's evaluation:

  • Good - The click appears to be legitimate

  • Warning - The click has some characteristics that might indicate fraud

  • Bad - The click is likely fraudulent

These scores help you make informed decisions about your traffic sources and campaign optimization.

Global vs. Offer-Specific Settings

Anura Integration provides flexibility in how you apply fraud protection across your campaigns:

  • Global Setting: Toggle the "Enable global Anura fraud protection" switch to apply Anura fraud detection to all your offers

  • Offer-Specific Settings: You can override the global setting for individual offers by configuring Anura directly in the offer details

When you enable or disable Anura for specific offers, these offers will appear in the "Offers with overridden settings" list on the Anura settings page.

Limitations and Considerations

  • Anura Integration requires an active Anura account and valid Instance ID

  • For redirect tracking, Anura evaluates clicks based on available data at click time

  • For direct tracking, the evaluation happens directly on your landing page, which may add a small amount of processing time

Best Practices

  • Start by enabling Anura globally and then selectively override settings for offers where you may want different behavior

  • Regularly review the fraud scores to identify potential issues with traffic sources

  • Use the fraud score information alongside other metrics when evaluating affiliate performance

  • Consider the Anura score when reviewing conversions, especially for offers with higher fraud risk

By properly configuring and utilizing Anura Integration, you can significantly improve the quality of your traffic and protect your campaigns from fraudulent activities.
