Keep your account safe by adding additional layer of security with multi-factor authentication (MFA). Trackdesk supports both MFA via SMS code and via authentication apps. Here's how to set everything up.

How to set up MFA
MFA can be enabled from your account, click on the user menu in the upper right corner of the app and select "Multi factor authentication", you will be redirected to your account page.
In order to use MFA you need to verify your email first, click on the link in the modal to send verification email and confirm your email by clicking the button in the email. After your email is verified, you can add MFA methods to your account. There are two methods you can use for MFA: SMS and Authentication apps. You can add multiple MFA methods to your account.
SMS verification
To use SMS verification, simply add your phone number (remember to include your country code as well, e.g. +12124567890). You will receive SMS with your auth code each time you try to log in.
Authentication app
You can also use authentication apps (TOTP) to authenticate. Any app that supports this feature will work. Simply either add the generated secret key, or scan the QR code on the page. Add the code generated by the app to confirm the method.
You will a list of your active MFA methods in the modal after you set them up. When logging in with MFA enabled you will be able to select what authentication method to log in with.
