Custom Internal Pages allow you to create and manage custom content pages directly within your Trackdesk account. These pages can be used to share important information, procedural documentation, or guidelines with your team or affiliates.
⚠️ Note: This feature is available only on the Enterprise and Network plans (and their Plus variants).
1. How to Access Custom Internal Pages
Navigate to the Settings section in your Trackdesk dashboard.
Select Custom Internal Pages from the left-hand menu.
2. Creating a Custom Internal Page
To create a new custom internal page:
Click the Create a new page button in the top right corner of the Custom Internal Pages section.
Fill in the required fields:
Title: The name of your page (maximum 100 characters).
URL Slug: A unique identifier for your page's URL. This is automatically generated from the title but can be customized manually.
Content: The body of your page, which supports rich text formatting.
2.1 URL Slug Guidelines
The URL slug must follow these guidelines:
Only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens are allowed.
No spaces or special characters.
Maximum length of 100 characters.
Must be entirely unique across all custom internal pages within your account.
2.2 Rich Text Editor
The content editor for Custom Internal Pages supports rich text formatting, allowing you to effectively structure your documentation. You can:
Format text with bold, italic, and underline.
Create headings and subheadings.
Add bulleted and numbered lists.
Insert hyperlinks.
Apply text alignment options.
3. Editing Custom Internal Pages
Each custom internal page can be updated at any time:
Find the page you want to edit in the Custom Internal Pages list.
Click on the Page Title to expand its editing panel.
Modify the title, URL slug, or content as needed.
Click Save to apply your changes.
4. Viewing Custom Internal Pages
To preview a published custom internal page:
From the Custom Internal Pages list, click the Visit button next to the page you want to view.
The page will open in a new browser tab with a clean, formatted layout.
5. Deleting Custom Internal Pages
To delete a custom internal page:
Locate the page in the Custom Internal Pages list.
Click the Delete (trash) icon next to the page.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
⚠️ Important: If a custom internal page is currently linked in your Menu Customization settings, you must remove it from the menu before it can be deleted.
6. Using Custom Internal Pages in Menu Customization
Custom Internal Pages can be added to your Trackdesk navigation menu so users can easily access your content.
Go to Menu Customization in the Settings section.
Create a new menu item or edit an existing one.
Select Custom internal page as the target type.
Choose your custom internal page from the provided dropdown menu.
7. Limitations
Please keep the following limits in mind when building your pages:
Content: Each custom internal page can contain up to 10,000 characters.
Title & Slug: The title and URL slug are limited to 100 characters each.
Uniqueness: URL slugs must be unique across all custom internal pages in your account.
