Marketplace Guide for Advertisers

Apply for the marketplace, get your offer listed, track results, and validate and pay for conversions each month.

Written by Trackdesk Team

This guide explains how the Trackdesk Marketplace works for advertisers: applying, getting your offer listed, tracking results, and the monthly validation and payment process. For a general introduction, see What Is the Trackdesk Marketplace.

Apply for access

The marketplace is available to customers with an active Trackdesk subscription. If you are on a free trial, click Upgrade to choose a plan first. Not a customer yet? See plans and pricing or book a demo.

To apply, click Marketplace in the main menu.

On the Affiliates tab, click Apply for access. By applying, you accept the Marketplace Terms & Conditions.

The page changes to Application pending. Our team reviews every application personally and contacts you by email to discuss the next steps for your product.

Get your offer listed

Listings are managed by the Trackdesk team, so you don't create the offer in the marketplace yourself. After your application is approved, we agree the details with you and set up the listing. A listing includes:

  • commission structure for marketplace affiliates

  • product description

  • creatives and assets

  • category and niche tags

  • contact details

  • promotional details

Before your offer goes live, make sure its terms clearly define:

  • what counts as a qualifying conversion

  • the commission

  • validation and quality criteria

  • permitted and prohibited traffic sources

  • permitted countries

  • attribution rules

  • any other important restrictions or requirements

The clearer these criteria are before launch, the easier and faster the monthly review will be.

When the listing goes live, a dedicated affiliate named Trackdesk Marketplace is created in your account. Affiliates find your listing through search, category browsing, our team's matching recommendations, newsletter features, and 1-on-1 outreach we do on your behalf.

Manage your listing

Once you are approved, the Marketplace page shows three sections: Manage your listing, Marketplace balance and Performance. Manage your listing shows your listing status, a summary of the payment process, and how to request changes.

Request a change

To change your listing, email [email protected] or click Email us. We action change requests within 1 business day. You can request changes to any part of the listing: commission structure, product description, creatives and assets, category and niche tags, contact details, and promotional details.

Let us know at least 24 hours in advance about any change that affects your offer, such as a commission change, tracking change or suspension. Changes cannot retroactively reduce commissions for traffic generated before the change takes effect.

Pause your listing

Your listing is promoted to affiliates at all times. If you know you won't be able to receive traffic because of a product update, technical downtime or a planned closure, email us in advance. Affiliates who are actively promoting your product may keep sending traffic until they are informed.

Leave the marketplace

You can request full removal from the marketplace by email. All outstanding payments must be settled and active affiliates notified before removal, so it isn't instant.

Track results

All marketplace traffic and conversions are attributed to the Trackdesk Marketplace affiliate in your account, so they appear in your reports like any other affiliate. Each individual marketplace affiliate appears under the Aff S2 parameter, so you can see who is driving results.

To see results per marketplace affiliate:

  1. Go to Marketplace → Performance and click Go to report, or open the Report Builder directly.

  2. Filter by the Trackdesk Marketplace affiliate.

  3. Group by Aff S2.

Contact and personal details of individual marketplace affiliates are available only to the Trackdesk team.

Marketplace balance

Marketplace balance shows your Marketplace open balance, the Total settled amount, and the Marketplace settlement history with the date of each settlement, the date it covers (Paid until) and the amount.

Monthly validation and payment

What is the monthly timeline?

For conversions generated during a calendar month:

  • By the 10th: review the previous month's conversions in your Trackdesk account. Reject any that don't meet the validation criteria, and raise any you want checked with us.

  • By the 15th: pay the marketplace invoice for approved conversions.

  • By the 20th: Trackdesk initiates affiliate payouts, provided your payment has been received and all other payout conditions are met.

Example: September conversions → reviewed by October 10 → paid by October 15 → affiliate payouts initiated by October 20.

Who validates the conversions?

You do. Review conversions using the data in your Trackdesk account and validate them against the offer terms. Validation criteria may include:

  • required customer or lead quality

  • permitted countries and traffic sources

  • duplicate or invalid conversions

  • cancellations or refunds

  • suspected fraudulent activity

  • other offer-specific requirements

Approve or reject marketplace conversions in your own Trackdesk account, the same way as for any other affiliate. Status changes sync to the marketplace automatically, so rejected conversions are left out of the settlement. There is no separate confirmation step.

Only approved conversions are eligible for settlement.

What if I find suspicious or potentially fraudulent conversions?

Keep them pending instead of approving them, and raise the issue with the Marketplace team at [email protected] by the 10th of the following month. Include the reason for your concern and, where possible, the information needed to resolve it.

  1. You raise the issue with Trackdesk.

  2. Trackdesk contacts the affiliate.

  3. The affiliate has 5 business days to provide the requested information.

  4. The case is reviewed and resolved.

The affected conversions stay pending and are not included in settlement until the review is complete. This is an exception process: normally you validate conversions yourself using the data in Trackdesk.

What happens to conversions under review?

They stay pending while the issue is investigated. Once the review is complete:

  • Approved conversions become eligible for settlement, normally in the next settlement cycle.

  • Rejected conversions are not eligible for settlement or affiliate commission.

What if I don't review conversions by the 10th?

Nothing changes on the marketplace side. The settlement follows the conversion statuses in your Trackdesk account, so make any rejections and send any review requests by the 10th for them to be reflected in that month's settlement.

In which currency do I pay?

All marketplace settlements are in USD. If your offer tracks commissions in another currency, the approved balance is converted to USD after the end of the month, and that USD amount is what you pay. Payment provider fees may apply.

Who is responsible for traffic quality?

Marketplace affiliates must send genuine, lawful traffic and follow the offer terms. Fake leads, bots, duplicate conversions, unauthorized incentive traffic, misleading advertising and any attempt to manipulate tracking or commissions are prohibited. Trackdesk may investigate suspicious activity, request supporting information, quarantine suspicious conversions, or suspend an affiliate.
